Research Statement:

I am a clinical instructor and the Apparel Design and Production Coordinator. Currently my professional work is focused around product development, apparel manufacturing and assuring that apparel design and production students get the skills they need to be successful in the apparel industry. I currently teach the Basic and Intermediate Apparel Construction, Sewn Products Analysis and Mass Production course. Each fall, Dr. Jane Swinney and I take a group of merchandising and apparel design student to New York to give them the opportunity to meet alumni, make connections and interview for a summer internship. One of my new interests is in social media and how it influences marketing of products as well as education.
