    The College of Human Sciences has been on the OSU campus for more than 110 years. The college's four academic programs provide research, instruction and outreach on the necessary elements of human life - food, clothing, shelter and relationships. The college strives to solve human problems and enhance human lives. Faculty and students are engaged in the community as part of the three missions of a land grant university.
  • Lauren Oseland - Outstanding Senior Open or Close
    Lauren Oseland is a human development and family science major from Edmond, Okla. She is the daughter of John and Katie Oseland. Oseland's activities include Pi Beta Phi, Blue Key Honor Society and the Human Sciences Academic Affairs Committee. She has also served as president of the College of Human Sciences Student Council and the Human Development and Family Science Club. Oseland volunteered for K-Life Ministries, Payne County Youth Shelter, Henderson Hills Baptist Church and Center for Family Services. She was named a College of Human Sciences Outstanding Student, a member of the OSU Homecoming royalty court and an Oklahoma Scholar Leader Enrichment Program participant. She also received the Women's Faculty Council Research Award and the Jan Moran Leadership Award.

  • Eagle Adventure 2012 Dr. Rodney L. Huey Memorial Champion of Health AwardOpen or Close
    The Eagle Adventure, a collaboration between the Chickasaw Nation Nutrition Services Get Fresh! program and Oklahoma State University's Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Human Sciences, has been named the recipient of the 2012 Dr. Rodney Huey Memorial Champion of Oklahoma Health award, the highest honor of the Champions of Health awards. Stephany Parker, associate research professor in nutritional sciences, facilitates efforts to deliver the program in schools where at least 50% of the children receive free or reduced price lunches.
