HRAD NAMES DR. FRANK TSAI ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS
The School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration has named Dr. Frank Tsai as the assistant director of international programs. Tsai is joining OSU from the National Taichung University of Science and Technology in Taichung, Taiwan where he was an assistant professor in leisure and recreation management. “Dr. Tsai will provide leadership and an international vision for the School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration as it moves to the forefront in global hospitality education,”said Ben Goh, HRAD director and assistant dean.

The Award Goes To Taylor’s
Taylor’s Dining in the School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration was recently designated as a Gold Certified Guest Service Property (CGSP) by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. As part of the Service Management in Hospitality Operations class, 49 students tested and received the individual designation. Guest Service Gold is a comprehensive program designed to provide recognition for individuals and restaurants that deliver exceptional service connecting with guests. Core components include training, employee certification and property certification used in an academic setting to provide students with a solid foundation in guest service skills.
