Atherton Employees Named Tops in the State
Two Atherton Hotel at OSU employees received Stars of the Industry Awards from the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association recently.  Allison Bowman was named the Outstanding Lodging Employee of the Year and Christopher Gray received the Outstanding Front Desk Employee of the Year.

Hailin Qu recognized for leadership in hospitality education

School of Hotel and Restaurant Regents Professor Hailin Qu received the 2012 Founder’s Award for Life Time Contributions in Creation of Knowledge, at the Graduate Education and Graduate Student Research Conference in Hospitality and Tourism held January 5-7 in Auburn, AL.

CHEF RICHIE BILLINGHAM
The School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration welcomes Chef Richie Billingham as the Distinguished Chef for the February Scholarship Benefit Series. After studying Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Denver, Chef Billingham was hired by the Steamboat Ski Corporation as their first Executive Chef where he helped design and run, two new on mountain fine dining facilities. Ragnar's and Hazies both opened to national acclaim and were featured in the Chicago Tribune and Esquire Magazine.
