Q. What should I wear to the career fair?
A. The dress to the career fair is business professional.

Q. What do I need to bring to the career fair?
A. Be sure to bring your résumé, printed on résumé paper, personal business cards, a folder or pad-folio, paper to take notes on, and a pen.

Q. Where can I buy a pad-folio and business cards?
A. OSU Career services located in 360 of the Student Union offers business cards for $5.00 for 250 of them. You can order them online, but make sure to do so a few weeks ahead of time so that there is plenty of time for them to be printed. The pad-folios are also $5.00.

Q. Do I need to attend everything?
A. It is not mandatory to attend everything, but it is certainly recommended. While attending the career fair, you will have the opportunity to meet potential employers and to give them your first impression. The guest speaker is a great resource for learning more about the ever-changing hospitality industry. Attending information sessions is extremely important because it gives you the opportunity to learn more about the company and it puts you ahead in the recruiter’s mind for interviews.

Q. I want to be an event planner. Are there any companies for me?
A. Certainly! It is important to gain experience working with hotels because meeting planners often work alongside hotels. There are also several country clubs and management companies attending.
