College of Human Sciences student Lana Duke has been selected as an Oklahoma State University Senior of Significance for the 2017-2018 academic year by the OSU Alumni Association. Duke is one of just 48 seniors to receive the prestigious honor.
Duke is a nutritional sciences major from Edmond, Oklahoma. The Seniors of Significance Award recognizes students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership and service to campus and community and have brought distinction to OSU.
Duke is a member of the Cowgirl soccer team, which won the 2017 Big 12 Championship. She has served as president of OSU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and been active with OSU’s Orange and Black Gives Back program, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and with the Native American student organizations on campus. In addition, Duke represented the Big 12 Conference at the 2016 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum.
A public reception to recognize the winners with their families will be held on November 30 at 6 p.m. at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.in Stillwater, Oklahoma
