Freshman Reading Program

The College of Human Sciences Freshman Reading Program began in 2004 as a way to enhance the first-year experience for incoming freshmen. The reading program facilitates vital student connections starting when students receive the book during summer enrollment. Community members and OSU faculty and staff lead small group discussions with the students during the second week of the fall semester to discuss the book and issues that are important to them.

For Fall 2017, our selected book is Make Your Bed -- LIttle Things That Can Change Your Life and Maybe the World by William H. McRaven.
