Admission and Application Procedures

Admission to one of the online programs is facilitated by the College of Human Sciences. A GRE is not required for these graduate programs. Students may apply for admission to any of the online programs in fall, spring or summer. It is recommended you apply three months prior to the start of the term when you wish to begin a program in order to provide time for faculty review of our application materials.

To be reviewed for admission consideration, applicants must upload the following items with the application:

  • Non-refundable application fee ($50 for US citizens/permanent residents)
  • One original transcript from each college or university attended
  • Professional Résumé
  • Professional goal statement.  Describe your professional goals for the future and explain how completion of the program will support your professional goals.
  • Three professional letters of reference submitted on professional letterhead. The online application will ask you for the names and email addresses of your references. An email will be sent to your references from the online application system with instructions on how to complete the reference via the online system. Choose references with whom you have a professional relationship, preferably past or current supervisors and past or current professors. References should be very familiar with your capabilities.

All transcripts provided with the application should be scans of official transcripts showing the college's or registrar's original seal and any degrees completed.  (Note to current or former students enrolled at OSU-Stillwater or OSU-Tulsa: You will need to submit scans of official OSU transcripts even though you are a current or former OSU student.)

When all of your materials have been received, a graduate committee will review your request for admission to the online master’s program of your choice. You will be contacted regarding the committee’s decision.
