Jennifer L. Jones, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Science at Oklahoma State University. Her research focus includes factors that contribute to the risk and resilience of persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and their families. She currently serves on the Oklahoma Advisory Committee on Services to Persons with Developmental Disabilities and is an active member of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Dr. Jones' leads several research teams, including a team of 20 undergraduate and graduate students in collecting the National Core Indicators (NCI) data for Oklahoma. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Jones worked in several non-profit organizations to improve the quality of life for persons with IDD. She has provided workshops on inclusion practices, promoting self-determination among adolescents with IDD, and the challenges of transition for individuals with IDD and their families.
