About the Editor
Hailin Qu, PhD, is a Regents Professor, William E. Davis Distinguished Chair and Director of the Center for Hospitality and Tourism Research in the School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration at Oklahoma State University, USA. He has been a Visiting Chair Professor in the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Visiting Professor at Ecole Hoteliere Lausanne, Switzerland. He is honored to be the Senior International Academic Advisor in the Tourism Research Center, China Academy of Social Sciences, P. R. China. Since 1992, he has been honored as an Honorary Professor by several major Universities worldwide.
Dr. Qu is the editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism (Haworth). He is the author or co-author of over 160 refereed publications. In addition, he published six book chapters and he is the editor or co-editor of five conference proceedings. He has been invited as a keynote speaker in 30 national and international conferences/meetings/seminars. Dr. Qu is on the editorial boards of other eight journals. In addition, he has received over 38 research grants and/or contracts with a total amount of over US$1.6 million. Dr. Qu’s current research interests include service quality and consumer loyalty, consumer behavior and destination image. Dr. Qu is a member of I-CHIRE and TTRA.
Dr. Qu is the recipient of the Regents Professor, 2005 Regents Distinguished Research Award, 2005 President’s Leadership and Service Certificate of Excellence, 2004 Marguerite Scruggs Award for Meritorious Research at Oklahoma State University; the recipient of 1998 Centennial Alumni Awards at Northern Arizona University and the recipient of 1996 University Scholarship and Creative Activities at San Francisco State University.
