HTM students attend Disney leadership conference
Tue, January 9, 2018
This January nine Hospitality and Tourism Management students (HTM) will be joining students from the Spears School of Business Accounting, Finance, and Management majors in a week long travel course to Central Florida that will provide behind-the-scenes access to one of the United States’ most successful companies. Students will work with Walt Disney Company professionals to take a closer look at the company’s leadership style, approach to teamwork, incorporation of creativity into the workplace, and unmatched customer service. Students will also explore the various aspects of business in which the Walt Disney Company operates and gain hands-on experience through discussion with Walt Disney Company professionals in the accounting and finance field, and meetings with OSU students completing internships on property. They will also have the chance to speak with a retired Executive VP of Operations with the Walt Disney World® Resort, Florida.
HTM students have a long history of working as interns with Walt Disney Company. This new opportunity will provide even greater access to those operations and to network with a diverse group of future professionals. Hospitality and Tourism Management students attending include Hao Lin, Yiman Zheng, Wenjing Hu, Morgan Berry, Claire Adams, Megan Annuschat, Abigail Coates, Grace Szalom and Reilly O'Hara.
