TWO COLLEGE OF HUMAN SCIENCES’ STUDENTS NAMED TOP TEN FRESHMEN AT OSU
Bailey Chambers, Nutritional Sciences Dietetics major from Broken Arrow, Okla., and
Madison Rash, Human Development and Family Science and Consumer Science Education
major from Stillwater, Okla., were selected as Top Ten Freshmen at Oklahoma State
The Achafoa chapter of Mortar Board selects the students, who are now in their sophomore year at OSU, based on excellence in scholarship, leadership and service during their freshmen year.
Chambers is a member of numerous campus organizations including Dance Marathon executives, College of Human Sciences Ambassadors, OSU Student Foundation and Chi Omega women’s sorority. Her favorite memory freshmen year was attending Oklahoma State football games. “I remember going to them as a little girl, but to be a student in the sea of orange was such a cool feeling that still hasn't gone away,” Chambers said.
Rash is a member of Kappa Delta sorority, Junior Greek Life, OSU Student Foundation and President’s Leadership Council. She also works as a campus operator and orientation leader for the Office of New Student Orientation where she helps students enroll into the College of Human Sciences.
One of her most memorable experiences from her freshman year was her involvement in Freshman Follies, a Greek-wide show. “I made life long friends at the very beginning of college and gained confidence through the support of our directors,” Rash said.
Chambers and Rash were recognized during the OSU football game on Oct. 4.
