Our Students and Degree Programs

Human Development and Family Science students understand the developmental stages of humans from birth to aging adults as well as the importance of family relationships. They are caring, hard-working and service oriented. Hands-on classroom experiences and research opportunities for Early Childhood Education graduates prepare them to be some of the most highly sought after professionals in early childhood education. As a nationally-approved program leading to the Certified Family Life Education (CFLE) credential, Child and Family Services graduates are well prepared to provide support and service to the communities where they are employed. Students in the Family and Consumer Sciences Education option gain interdisciplinary knowledge and skills they will apply in secondary (grades 6 – 12) schools (FACSED) or county Cooperative Extension Service (FCSES) work.
